Background
MindCompass is an AI-powered platform that assesses mental health through voice, text, and biometric data. My role was to lead UX research, define interaction flows, and design an accessible, visually clear interface for both individuals and clinicians.
The Challenge
Existing mental health tools were either too complex or lacked trust-building transparency. Users struggled with onboarding, while clinicians needed clearer dashboards for faster interpretation.
The Solution
I developed a calm, minimal UI with clear navigation, engaging data visualizations, and an onboarding flow that reduced drop-offs.
Process highlights:
Research: User interviews & competitor analysis to identify pain points.
UX Framework: Personas, empathy maps, and journey flows to guide design decisions.
Design: Low- to high-fidelity wireframes, focusing on accessibility and clarity.
Testing: Iterated on dashboards and test flows based on usability feedback.
Results and Impact
Reduced onboarding drop-off rates by improving guidance and transparency.
Faster clinician interpretation through simplified, visual-first dashboards.
Positive feedback on trustworthiness and ease of use from test participants.
